@Dazer67 When did you take this out ? Because a £35 contract with only this years increase is £37.77

Hi @Dazer67
Thanks for coming to the community.
Please see our Annual Price Changes on EE | Help, page for details and how much extra your plan would be using the CPI+3.9% calculator.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Have you been notified of a price-rise? Or have you just received a bill for £45, in which case have you checked the bill for extra charges?

Mine has gone up 47% since Jan 2023 (Increase in both March 2023 and March 2024). They just say its CPI but nearly 50% increase mid-contract has made it unaffordable and shouldn't be allowed

Totally agree. Mine has gone up 47% within contract and yet have phone I cant use without wifi. EE is worse phone company I know, upping their prices but without providing even basic service
My husbands phone contract is now 1/4 of my contract price (as mine has nearly double), only monthly dontract & not tied in, not gone up in nearly 2yrs since he took out and has much much better signal than me everywhere we go. Highly recommend SMARTY. I am switching to them asap

@Mel1407 unless you have out of allowance charges your contract hasn’t gone up 47% while within the minimum term of that contract. This year was 7.9% and last year it was 14.4%. So not possible to have 47% increase and the year before last was 9.3% so still not possible.
But I do like a good plug for a different network because that’s what this is.

Maths doesn't lie (although admittedly its 46% not 47% so that was my mistake). £23 in Jan 2023 and now £33.58. Feel free to check for yourself since you obviously don't trust me.
It is EE who have told me it is CPI and not other charges.... plus it states that on my bill. I have zero £ spend cap too as was fed up of additional charges (which the ones I pointed out they did refund when noted error). Fed up of having to check & chase every month though hence spend cap now so definitely not that.
It's an absolute con to lock people in contract then make it so uunaffordableby keep increasing as they wish & blaming it on CPI so we can't argue it
Tbh I can't imagine a network worse. A phone that can only be used on WiFi and never able to make normal call. Actually made 1st sucessful call today (tried my luck as needed 999). First time I've made phone call without WiFi in 18month now & assuming that's because it picked up another provider in area for emergency call.
Assuming your promoter / fan of EE and don't have issues with price increases or signal and that's great but don't tell others they are wrong when you don't personally know. Thank you
