Hi - I have a question for the EE contract team.
I recently renewed my EE mobile contract and noticed that the to and from dates are as follows:
Start : x Mar 2026
End : x Mar 2028
(I used x as I don't wanted to keep precise information out)
However I believe that it should be for x-1 Mar 2028 - as if you buy anything else for a period of time (e.g. a travelcard), it's valid from the time of purchase - and starts on that day - not the day after.
For example, if I buy a travelcard today (Saturday) for 1 week, it will run out on Friday next week (I will still be able to use it on Friday) - not Saturday - as the valid days will be Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday = 7 days - making it valid til Saturday would be 8 days - which is not a week (7 days)
Same applies for months - I know for months, you have some months with 28, 29, 30 or 31 days, but the convention for 1 month is taken as dd-MMM-yyyy and the 1 month will expire on (dd-1)-(MMM+1)-2026 (obviously this statement will not work if month is December!)
Can someone from EE please comment?

Fair - so does mine
I'll await confirmation from an official EE representative.
Thanks for your input.

Out of interest, what is it you're wanting from the "official" EE team on here?
1: Confirmation that contracts are rolling ones with a minimum-term? And that the "end date", however presented, refers to the end of the minimum-term rather than the end of the contract?
2: Or clarification the day-minus-1 concept?

Point 2
To further clarify, the end date can't refer to the end of the contract as they can only know that when you inform them you want to leave - so specifically it is the representation of the end date of the minimum contracted period - whether or not both dates are inclusive or not.

Just for clarity, (all contracts can be unique and I can only comment on mine), the comment made by @Schockwave is incorrect. There is no rolling monthly contract - specifically my contract says this:
"Once your minimum term ends, each service (excluding Add to Plan) will continue until you decide to cancel in accordance with our terms and conditions. If you've got other contracts with us, their minimum terms might not line up with this contract."

Your contract rolls in the sense that it may be cancelled FoC on any day from the expiry of the min. term inclusive. Which in turn means that you may proffer your 30-days notice to cancel on any day from 30 days before the expiry of the min. term .
