Hello Everyone - & EE support,
My son and hi friend were mugged and his phone - on an EE pay month contract for the last three months - was stolen two weeks ago. We reported it to the police and have a crime report reference. The insurance company have asked for (1) proof of usage - which EE have provided and; (2) proof of barring - which the EE help desk said that they couldn't provide and said that we should contract the company from whom we bought the phone. We have done this and the company (Limetropic, an established phone refurbishment company) said that it should be the network provider who does this. Many others on here seem to have had their phone barred/blacklisted by EE albeit by contact via private message from a forum moderator.
Please can someone advise me on what to do. We're currently over £300 out of pocket.
Thank you.

@Londoner77 EE can blacklist the device as should be doing so when you speak with them to do that.

Hi @Londoner77
Welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear that you and your son were a victims of a mugging, that's awful.
Our mobile care team should definitely be able to provide you with proof of barring, if you reported it to us at the time.
Chris
