Is the pay by mobile service down at the moment I'm tryingvto purchase something on xbox but it keeps saying there was an error  I have removed my spend cap but its still not working

Was the purchase over £40? 

The maximum transaction value for charge to bill services is £40.

I have had this happen aswell within the last couple of days have used pay by mobile for years and all over sudden things have been stopped and can no longer use pay by mobile

Have you reached the monthly payment limit of £240, or were you trying to make a purchase over the £40 maximum transaction value, @alechull85?

It's supposed to £40 a day. EE lets you pass that limit as well. As a gambling addict who racked up a charge to bill through casinos. Was cut off. Allowed to reconnect and rack up a second bill. And they still reconnected me a thirds time.  Yeah, I'm irresponsible but at the same time how does this happen. And the misinformation about my contract etc was crazy.

Welcome to the community.

Have you spoken with our Mobile Care team about adding restrictions to your account? Like the content lock and charge to mobile bar?

The content lock would restrict access to 18+ websites on mobile data.  If you text BAR to 150, it will add the charge to mobile restriction. 

I also recommend taking a look at some gambling awareness websites. They may have more advice on restricting gambling services on different devices.
