Over charging

My bill was due on 23rd last month but I paid it on the 5th. So why would any extra charge go on this month payment and not last month payment. I don’t get it can anyone tell me or explain why this is happening please. Thanks

@Dodgy71   Because the bill was already issued.   You paid late so the charge was added to the next bill that was generated.

As @Chris_B  has said once your bill is printed we aren't able to amend it, so any further charges or amendments will show on your bill next month.
