Did you speak to our Mobile Care team, @Armandwes75? Was it the refundable deposit?

Deceptive practice to not mention it clearly when taking out the contract. Expecting everybody to read the T&Cs for hidden charges is the stupidest thing I've ever heard Brendon.

I did it over the phone when getting broadband. No mention of it in the contracts for the broadband (just checked again), no mention on the phone, and I haven't signed a separate online contract for the mobile plan.

Hi @Nero5167
Thanks for coming to the community.
If you give us a call on 150, the team can check the deposit and let you know what this is for and look into removing this for you if possible 🙂
Leanne.

I just had exactly this.
I contacted EE who suggested I was a credit risk and that there was most likely an issue with my credit score.
My credit rating is almost perfect. I am a home owner and fortunate to be in a well paid job.
I wonder if I didn’t provide enough information.
In my case I’d been with EE previously for years and ventured to Three for a cheaper deal. I returned because the network quality on my Three deal was so poor it prevented my iPhone performing to its potential.
- now I’m back on EE it’s like having a new phone again. All the functions are so fast again.
I rang them and they removed the deposit requirement immediately.
