Hello,

I am reporting this form of fraud attack that my partner came across yesterday, your customers should be aware of.

It is a letter from EE stating a transaction is being taken out. I will provide pictures.

Neither me or partner are on EE so we thought that was a fraud in itself. However, the reason my partner realised the entire letter was a fraud was because of the number the letter provided for EE contact. EE customer service clearly begins with a 08 while the number provided on the bill starts with 07.

I believe many people may fall for this, as we almost did.

Is the name of the addressee you & is it your bank a/c?

If not, it all looks kosher & the real cust probably gave EE the the wrong addy.

Wrong realisation! The no. 07953 966 250 is a valid contact no. for EE.
