Is this your number and whose account is it? Please explain a bit more.
If it is in someone else’s name, then the person has to be with you to do this to give permission or let EE know, so that a text can be sent to do so. I would advise speaking to customer services with the other person present.

It’s a number on my account but I want to move it to a family member who has a EE account now

@Robbay76 Then you need to call customer support to request a change of ownership. This other person needs to be present if possible as they have to accept that request change. Is this number on contract? If it is that other person will then became liable for that contract payment as it’ll be on their account.
