Monthly tariffs and data plan

I am on a monthly contract with EE and looking to upgrade but am confused about the different data plans on offer as some seem misleading. There seems to be some deals and tariffs that are identical but then the price to pay per month is different i.e some of a higher price and some of a lower price which i don't understand. Also the total cost of the device seems to change to reflect depending on which plan i would choose. So could someone please help me understand and clarify why.

@andrea1990  Can you show two examples of this ?  It helps to know what you’re looking at.

Hi @andrea1990

Are the contract minimum terms the same length of time? Like @Chris_B said, if you can give us an example, we'll do our best to explain. 🙂

Thanks for replying @Chris_B  @Christopher_G . This is what i'm confused about. These two data plans is for 'unlimited essentials'  but the price per month is different and also the monthly cost and total device cost is different and its for the same phone. Hope you can both help. Thanks.

@andrea1990 Thanks for your reply. It does look like the second plan you are checking is likely an error with it having a device cost of only £36. Which phone is it you are looking at? Specifically the make, model, memory size and colour so I can double check it.

Hi @Alex_H . Thanks for the reply yeah i thought that seemed strange that's why i'm confused :). I am looking at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge 256GB Titanium Icyblue.

That's the 241 offer for an additional line with the s25 ultra - Don’t miss this Christmas special offer. Save £17 a month on the S25 Ultra and get an S25 Edge from as little as £16 a month when you buy them both between 5 December and 17 December 2025.

@andrea1990 Thanks for confirming which device you were looking at. Yes as @garybs29 mentioned in the second screenshots it looks like its showing you the price of the 2 for 1 special offer on the Samsung S25 Ultra and S25 Edge.

If you buy a S25 Ultra on contract between 5th and 17th December, you can then get the S25 Edge as an additional contract on your account with a device cost of £1 a month. But it should not be showing online in that way, so definitely looks like an error.

I was not able to reproduce it myself to show the two options on the one phone. I would recommend clearing the cookies and cache of the website and see if the issue does continue. But the plan in your first screenshot is the one available as a normal upgrade and the second one is part of that special offer if buying a S25 Ultra first.

Thanks @garybs29 and @Alex_H. Ok yeah that makes sense to me now! It's just when i was looking to upgrade to the S25 Edge. On that page it doesn't mention anywhere that any of the data plans are on a special offer deal with the S25 Ultra, but now i've seen on the S25 Ultra page about the 2 for 1 deal with the Edge so that's clarified it for me now. I did try clearing the cookies and cache on the website but it's still showing the error which is annoying. It also seems like i can just go ahead and purchase the S25 Edge on this cheap deal with no mention of the S25 Ultra which is very misleading! No wonder i got confused. Anyway thanks for your help and clarification.
