Mobile Plan Ending 27/07/26 but device contract runs until July 27.

I can't change my plan online, it should change to sim only & I want to lower the costs.

How can I do this online?

To upgrade your SIM plan while you have a device Flexpay contract you need to call CS.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

To add to the above you'll also need to wait until after the 27th to do so

Whilst I appreciate the reply, it wasn't the answer I was hoping for.

Thank you for taking the time though.

I am Autistic, I suffer hugely with anxiety especially when making phone calls.

I have just made a complaint in regards to this. They are very clearly trying to funnel any contact that may result in a loss of finance to EE, towards your call centre where people who suffer with anxiety can be bullied and pressured into products/services they don't want.

I can currently purchase any product I like via the website without have to speak directly to somebody, cancelling or downgrading a product should be the same.

This kind of behaviour preys on those with disabilities

Thanks for replying.

Seems very unfair to be forced into a non contracted period with thw options of changing thw original contract terms.

If you're on a FlexPay, then the airtime element is already structured as a SIM-only.

@Stu-Smith  Your online account doesn’t allow you to upgrade even to a cheaper sim only when on a flex pay contract because you still owe on the device.  The only way to upgrade to a cheaper sim only at present is to call and until EE sort this this is the only option you have and it’s not done purposely the upgrade system just say you have to pay off the current device to upgrade.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
