Hi there, I have just started on a new EE contract with a new iPhone, but have an old £10 monthly sim, I want to use my old number ie **********. Not the new one and then cancel my old contract. How is it best to go about this please?!

Hello @SamWiddows ,

Welcome to the community,

You should have done this as an upgrade, I would suggest speaking to customer service about this, they may be able to help you with it.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Maybe you should've done an upgrade rather than a new contract.

EE won't port nos. between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no. to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

Assuming you bought your new phone via online or telesales methods, it comes with a statutory 14days "change of mind" right of return.

Enquire of CS how much it costs to upgrade your existing line to your chosen new phone, compare that with how much you paid for your new connection.

Then make an informed decision whether to..

1) Follow the advice in the reply immediately above mine, or...

2) Return your new phone under 14days cancellation, and upgrade your existing phone.
