I have paid my monthly bill early so will an attempt be take out on bill date

@Sam2909 How early did you pay it? Companies submit the direct debit info days in advance of the actual date, so even if you paid your bill, EE may have already requested the direct debit payment, and then it's too late to stop it.

@Sam2909 : Why did you pay your bill manually when you had a DD in operation? If you have a DD in operation you shouldn't make a manual payment on or soon after your billing date. It is then too late to stop the DD being auto taken in full. Now the extra will be used as credit against your next bill. It won't show on your a/c until the next bill.
