If you have an elderly relative and you hold power of attorney the best of luck in trying to get any sense out of EE.
The stock answer is go in store - then once this has been done they can only help up to a point and thereafter calls won't be returned as promised, obstacles will put in your way and the upshot is do not try and keep your number, save yourself the trouble and just move to another provider.

It may be helpful to provide some context behind your comments - headline comments without detail hold limited value.

I should follow the Ill health section of Change My Account in The Case of a Life Event

The context is there to see an elderly relative who needs a power of attorney and EE were really unhelpful and the full context is that they have had their last payment and phone contract is now cancelled.

Nope, still not got any idea what actually happened or why you're upset
As long as you've got help that's some result I suppose.

Consider it a warning to others - no further comments needed from EE staff or otherwise

Hi @TigerRatty
Follow the instructions from @XRaySpeX as I was in the same situation a few years back.
Thanks
