Does anyone know if EE helps with your bill as I have just been diagnosed with Cancer and have stopped working, I have asked them to reduce my monthly contract since (1997) all they say is you’ve still not finished your contract so no help whatsoever, anyone had anything similar?

Contractually if you're within your minimum term then you are bound by the monthly payments you agreed. If you're outside your minimum term, you are free to change your plan or cancel it as you decide.
You need to contact EE CS who have access to your individual account and can advise further.
