I have had a call from the above number today offering me a upgrade at a very good price, but i had spoken with an agent last week about my upgrade and said they couldn’t do anything to help me regarding lowering my price plan till my conrract ended. Is the above number a genuine EE number? Thanks

Hi @Leigh985
The number in the subject of this thread is an EE Partner company called Step Change. If you would like to change your marketing preferences, I'd recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team.

Funny, I am in the process of switching to EE. I received my sim about an hour ago and put it in my device and have already received a call from this number (which I missed)
The irritating thing is that I literally selected no on EVERY SINGLE OPTION for marketing when I signed up, so what has gone on here then?

No Need @James_B - I know what my marketing preferences are thanks, still got the original purchase email right here. Do EE know what their responsibilities to uphold them are however?

Hi @Billbrown1982,
The team will be able to check your choices are correctly reflected on your account, and if the missed call you received was a genuine call from EE or one of our partners.
Thanks

I keep getting the same call from the same number. I've only just joined ee for broadband and I have been looking into seeing if I can get a contract phone with ee. Only been browsing. Could they be ringing to offer me a contract phone. I don't want to answer it after reading some of these comments , and my phone shows it up as scam caller I'd too . So I'm wary
