Fixed term phone contract ending

My EE contract finishes on 24th Oct and I want to switch using PAC to another provider. 

When do I need to make the switch on 24th or before or after as I don’t want to have to pay to do it. 

Also will my photos etc still be on my phone which I own when I do this?

@BS36  You can request your PAC no more than 30 days before your minimum term,  as your within the last 30 days you’ll not pay anymore unless you make a chargeable calls/text so don’t stop your payment method straight the way.    Changing networks will not affect anything on your device ie phones/emails/saved texts.
