Ending contract

I will be cancelling my service when my contract ends on Dec 27th 2022.  When I give my 30days notice do I have to wait until that date or can I give notice 30days before the end date ready for Dec 27th to be the final date.  I am intending to keep my current phone & move onto a very cheap basic pay as you go sim card either with EE or another provider.  99% of my phone is used on wifi so paying for something I don't need.

@Discodog , if you want to keep your current number and move to another provider, you will need a PAC code, but if you want to remain with EE and change to a pay as you go, you do not need PAC code, just speak to EE and they should be able to move you to pay as you go.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
