Hi, posting on behalf of my dad.
He has 2 contracts, one for mam's and one for his for a Google Pixel 9a and a Google Pixel 7.
He was initially on a sim only contract which started in September 2024 paying about £35! A month for 5GB (which he doesn't need)
He needed a new phone last year and added the Pixel and did one for my mam a little bit later. I've only just found d out they're paying £48 a month for the 7 and £58! A month for the 9.
They're paying for 125GB!! A month of which they use less than 1GB. EE have agreed to take back the Pixel 9 but won't take back the 7 because it's over halfway through the contract. I've explained he's been missold and didn't understand that 125GB is far beyond what he needed. I've asked if there's any way he can at least get a reduction on his bill with a simpler contract and less data but have again been told no. Most mobile contract providers as far as I know split the cost of the device and the plan so you can amend it if needed. I've logged 2 complaints but both have apparently been closed with no resolution. My dad's 71 and thought this was just the cost of phones these days. He can't really afford either of the contracts let alone the 2 he was allowed to take out. Wondering how I can go about getting this resolved. The phone operators keep advising as it was bought in store there's nothing they can do as there are no calls to listen to and can't check if it's been missold. If someone is using less than a gig but paying for 125 surely this indicates he was sold something he doesn't need! Wondering if anyone can help?

You'll have to pay off the remaining contract term or escalated your complaint to the ombudsman.
Thanks
