I have paid my monthly phone bill but EE took triple the required amount from my account and has not refunded me what they owe me, even though they said they will.

The direct debit guarantee promises a full & immediate refund from your bank, of incorrect payments taken.
If you made any manual payments in between bill date & payment date, those won't stop the automatic payment being taken and will be stored as credit against your next bill.

Did our customer care team provide you with a reason as to why this amount has been taken?
When was a refund issued?
