Hey so i've joined EE just the other day, i had received a email with a reference number, i was then phoned by someone at ee, they said the system hadn't run the credit check, so they manually put the credit check through and asked me all the questions etc, anyways upon running the credit check, the outcome was i wasn't eligible for the deal i had chosen initially, but i was eligible for something call a Access sim level or something? which is a 12month contract anyway i accepted the deal, when i logged into my EE account it states under the upgrade section Upgrade: "Not Upgrade Eligible" i understand that currently that'll be the case, but after paying all my bills on time over the course of the 12 month contract, is it guaranteed i'll be able to switch over to a normal sim only contract or a phone Device plan contract?
Thank you in advanced for the advice 🙂

@Luna_Dawn91 There’s no guarantee on anything.

ahh ok so i'm guessing a Access level sim contract is different to a standard Sim only contract?
Kind regards

Hi @Luna_Dawn91
You are on the next level basic SIM. You can read the T&C here. Scroll down to the bottom of page one.

As @Chris_B says there are no guarantees but if you maintain a good payment history then sim only would be your best bet.
Thanks

Hey so i recently joined EE i intially ordered a 30 day rolling 1GB sim only contract Online, then when a guy called me to process my application as there seems to have been some issue with the automatic credit check, he processed it and then proceeded to tell me unfortunately i couldn't have that deal for some reason but not to worry as, as long as i was happy to go with a 12 month Sim Only contract instead i could have something called the
"No Frills SIM Access 1GB" and it was actually cheaper at only £14 instead of the £22 a month for the 30 day rolling contract, he also said i'd be able to Upgrade after a year if i wanted, too either a new sim only or a phone contract, so i accepted he said it had a speed cap of 100mbps which when he loaded up the contract on my device to electronically sign it which i did it even stated it was 100mbps speed cap, according to My EE App it states i'm on "Our Best Speeds - no Max Mbps" unfortunately i've found today this not to be the case and in fact what i've actually ended up receiving is a 25mbps capped speed contract, i then asked if i could possibly choose a different plan instead while also debating going for a bigger data plan at the same time, but unfortuantely no plans appeared whatsoever unfortunately, in reality it's no major issue as according to what i've been told from customer services, i'll actually be able to upgrade after 1 months time according to what the upgrades department told the representative i was speaking to, My EE account just states Not Upgrade Eligible, when i texted UP to 150 it stated i could upgrade after 6 months, so i'm not really sure what to think on this, if i'm actually going to be able to upgrade in the future and if so when that'll be,
With regards to the Apple music i was told by the person who signed me up that, once i get my sim i'll be able to text Music to 150 and i would be able to claim 6 Months free of Apple music, i did try that today and initially all seemed to be going well a EE text was telling me that it would add it onto my account free for 6 months then it'd be £9.99 there after, then it proceeded to ask me if i was currently subscribed to Apple music through Apple directly, to which i responded With No, i then got a text stating, We're sorry - to get free access to the millions of songs available on Apple music you need to be on an EE pay monthly mobile or SIM only plan. but that's the thing i Am on a 12 Month Sim Only Plan/contract? so i'm pretty confused at this point i seem to have a sim only contract but yet also kind of dont with heavy limitations and conflicting information, can someone please help explain this to me what i'm actually on in detail and what it actually means, like what to expect what not to expect so on and so forth,
kind regards.

Hi @Luna_Dawn91
I explained and provided the link in your last thread to the terms and conditions. You are on a very basic plan.
