It’s about my direct debit it was supposed to be deducted today but I had to do it manually since the day was almost ending … need help to set it up

Today's a w/end. The DD has been applied for by EE & your bank won't debit it till Mon. You should have left well alone. Now you'll have paid the bill twice. The extra will be held in credit towards your next bill.

I agree with @XRaySpeX on that, the direct debt arrangement would of been issued either by post or email.
but when I read this post @XRaySpeX I read it as need help setting a DD up.
manual payments with an active DD will result in your EE Account being in credit.
Payments are only taken Monday - Friday not including weekends and bank holidays, because of Christmas all my DD was taken taker 3 days later then expected.

@FIZZYLP The first sentence is the clue. “It’s about my direct debit it was supposed to be deducted today”. Today being the 6Th of January a Saturday, DD do not come out over the weekend.
