Deposit charge

I have just had my first bill for 2 year SIM only and also have a charge of £50 for ‘deposit for service’. There was no mention of this at all when signing up - which is really poor sales practice. I feel a little conned.  If it is something that can be refunded - why not give customers the option to opt in in the first place? This is not the only service that EE provide my household - certainly now making me think twice about sticking with you or recommending you to others.

Hi @Adam356

Welcome to the community.

I understand it would be a shock to see this charge on your bill.

If you give our billing guides a call, they'll be able to check exactly what service this is for. It is likely that it can be removed for you so the bill is as it should be.
