So recently I am getting calls from a debt company yet my bills are up to date? Is anyone else experiancing this? My bills do not go out on (14th of October) its always 25th on my pay day? Are these spam companies?

@Riainisgar as long as you know that your bills are up-to-date and you’ve been checking your EE account to make sure and you can see it coming out of your bank account then its highly likely thats it’s spam, But you can check this by calling customer service.

Sounds awfully like spam callers, but do they give any details of what debt they are seeking?
Block their number and move on, personally. Any genuine recovery firms will write to you.

The called me from Birmingham saying they are with Advantis debt collectors (i searched up the company and they had EE on one the debt collectors for broadbands and phone bills) and even gave me some policy number? But all my bills are up to date and the amount is not the amount on my phone bill? So I went here to question about it! But sounds like a scam caller to me!

Morning @Riainisgar
Thanks for coming to the community.
To get this looked into, please contact our customer support guides and they can do a search for the information the company provided to make sure we have no other accounts for you that have been sent to the debt collection agency.
If our customer support guides check this for you and the call has been a scam, please see our Avoid Scams page for help on staying safe and getting the call reported.
Let us know how you get on 🙂
Leanne.

When any company is demanding money for reasons unknown, the burden of proof should be on them to prove the validity of their claim. Not the other way around.
