Contract

My partner set up a deal so she knew exactly what she would pay each month yet she was charged far more. When she tried to sort the problem and asked to move to a cheaper deal she was refused even though the deal had been sent to her account.  She has been tricked into a deal that is completely unsuitable and is being charged more for a deal she doesn’t want.  She thought as an existing customer since 2018 that EE would value her and allow her the deal she asked for but it appears she’s being taken advantage of.

Judging by my partner’s recent experience of wanting to move to a cheaper deal you’ll be told that you can’t have the deal you want but they will make every effort to have you agree to something that’s completely unsuitable to your needs and charge you far more than you expected.

Our last deal gave us 160gb per month and with 3 days to go till renewal I had used 20gb yet with the new deal I’ve got through over 25gb in just over a week.   If you’re ok with being conned then see what happens.  I’ll be interested to find out if you get the same outcome.  EE don’t appear to want to work with existing customers but they offer new customers better deals,  it don’t make sense.

Hi @Phill67 if it's the first bill that you've received since you upgraded the line, the bill that you've received will likely be a pro rata bill.

If you've gone for a plan which is higher than your previous plan, we'll need to pro rata your changes.

The good news is that if it's a pro rata bill, the next bill that you receive will be for your normal rate.

We have a handy page which gives lots of information around part charge bills, just click this link here to access it: Understanding your bill
