My contract is due to end on 26th but my new contract with another provider doesn’t start until 9th. Will I still be able to use my existing number?

Yes. These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel or upgrade. Your eventual porting to new provider will then auto cancel your EE contract.

@LS07 Your contract doesn’t just end at the minimum term date it will change to a 30 day rolling contract, you have to give 30 days notice to terminate said contract.
