Hi , I tried to speak to someone on Saturday during the day and at 6.38 this evening and it said offices are shut. Do you know the actual hours to speak to someone about downgrading to a sim only contract thanks

Welcome to the community.
Our customer service teams are available from 8am to 9pm on weekdays and 8am to 8pm at the weekend.
What number were you calling to try to reach them?
If you are looking to renew on a SIM Only plan you can also do this online. You can access either the EE app or website and head to the upgrades section and choose SIM Only if you are in the last 30 days of the contract. It would then take effect once the contract ends.
Alternatively, if you'd prefer to speak to someone, our upgrades team are available to call today.

The above advice from @Michael_D is correct for Consumer accounts, however Business accounts have a different set of opening hours and working days which can be seen here in case that is the issue:
