Hi
I'm wanting to change an account to be in my name but not the banking details that are in the name of a family member as he is elderly and it makes stuff easier if talking to customer service or in store etc. I'm hoping to go to local EE store tomorrow to do this so as he can't go what evidence do i need to be able to do this please?
Regards & thanks

Yes, by phoning CS with him initiating the change of ownership but you can start by introducing him. It is he that will need to answer some security Qs.

@XRaySpeX so I guess it would be difficult to do via online customer service. I guess calling would be better but do I actually get to talk to someone unlike the tech help where it's all done by a bot/text then the final option is getting connected to someone. He's out of contract apparently, paying way too much

You can't do it online anyway.

Yes I thought so, was told in a previous post I could and they'd guide me through it, will give them a bell with the account holder. He asks if they can have 2 name's on the account.

No, you can't but you can appoint a 3rd-party to handle day-to-day aspects of your a/c over the phone with CS on your behalf. They will not be cleared to affect contractual matters, like cancellation or upgrades.
