After purchasing a new contract and few calls to customer care regarding call charges and cheaper plan one representative of EE customer care called me and said we will put you on a new cheeper contract with the same number as you have 14 days cool of period to cancel the contact and sent me a new sim and contract. It’s a delivery note sent with my new SIM card and contract which clearly says orders placed through a store can be cancelled with in 14 days. And shop and the customer EE care @150 refuses there is no such policy.
Provided miss informations regarding call charges to abroad. And agreed that may be passed by trainee staff. But customer has to pay for that even though it’s our fault, all we can do is an APPOLOGY. And used the exact sentence- EVEN IF ITS OUR FAULT UNHAVE TO PAY THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF £534 for feb bill, and ALL WE CAN DO IS AN APOLOGY, AND THE SAD NEWS IS UNFORTUNATELY YOU ARE ON 2 YEAR CONTRACT.
call charges - some people in customer care said it’s 44 pence /min to abroad. One said it’s 3.42 after questioning about my bill £534 for next month.
even on the billing amount one person said it’s £534 and other says that’s wrong it’s £294.
3 wrong informations-
1 . regarding call charges.
2. Regarding contract cancellation
3. Billing amount.
I am still confused. What is happening am I getting connected to the EE CUSTOMER CARE ITSELF.
sales team send me a new contract and informed we will sort the issue. And now says you have now 2 EE contract so pay for both. or cancel the new contract on which we made commitments and made you to purchase after doing all the credit checks and collecting my bank details. I am afraid was that EE customer care or somebody spamming.
Latest - we would have cancelled first contract, but now it’s more than 14 days. Pls note the request for plan change and contract cancellation was made on the 7th day after initial purchase. They made me to wait for crossing 14 days and says, it was possible but now it’s not.

If you ordered by phone or online you always have a statutory cooling-off period up to 14 days after delivery to cancel your order FoC. If you ordered in-store you have no such "change-of-mind" right of return.

Thanks for the replay, still wondering, why should EE send me an official delivery note with above statement.
Also I missed to mention in the above post, a person whom I spoke yesterday form EE customer care said, the actual bill to pay is not £534, not £294 it’s £15. 3 different answers from 3 different staff in same company, looking on a same account on the computer screen in front of them.

And even the staff from EE customer care informed me the contract purchased from shop can be cancelled by the customer care team.
May be to sell a new SIM card to show the sales projection,….🫥

Hi @Andrews333
Welcome to the community.
Did you order in the EE store? Have you been in to speak to them? Change of mind policy is one thing, if you have a dispute with the way that's another.
Did you take the second plan out over the phone?
