Hi all
I had a new 24 month phone contract in Jan 2023. This is due to end in Jan 2025.
I took out two Tech Add Ons (XBox and MetaQuest devices) in December 2023.
Ideally I'd like to leave EE in Jan 2025. Can I just continue to pay the Tech Add ons for the remaining time after I've cancelled my phone contract or am I bound to my phone contract until the Tech Add ons are fully paid? I have scoured Ts&Cs and cannot find an answer anywhere. I've been waiting for a response on the app chat for 4 hours, so thought I would ask here.
If I have to remain with them until the tech add ons are paid up, does anyone know if I can reduce my contract amount monthly in Jan 2025? My current plan includes the device charge for my phone which will be fully paid in Jan2025, so I'm not sure if the price will reduce automatically anyway?

Just to say - I have managed to speak to customer service and if you have tech add ons that aren't fully paid up, you will be charged the full remaining balance when you end your contract, there is no option to continue to pay them monthly until they are paid in full as a separate bill. Which is as I expected, but now have clarification.

On this specific bit - if you're on a FlexPay plan where the device & airtime are completely separate, then the airtime will continue when the device element is completed. If you're on a traditional plan with a single monthly payment, there is no concept of "paying off" a phone - and the plan continues until you make a change.. such as moving to SIM-only.

Thanks for this. It's an All Rounder plan that doesn't seem to mention FlexPay anywhere. So, if I can't end contract without paying lump sum for tech add ons, I'll reduce to cheaper, sim only plan and keep it rolling until that's all paid off.
