Bogus Bills

Does anyone know how to stop EE sending threatening emails for payment of non existent bills?

I cancelled my contract due to high cost and poor customer service.  After the final payment was taken I stopped the Direct Debit (just in case).

They're still trying to take my money and are now threatening to damage my credit rating if I don't pay.

@Dissatisfied2  did you call customer support to give 30 days notice of termination? Just stopping the DD on the minimum term date doesn’t cancel the contract unless you give notice to terminate.  At the minimum term the contract changed to a 30 day rolling contract it doesn’t just end.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

How did you go about cancelling & when?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I notified EE that I was leaving.  They now claim they're entitled to carry on billing me until my new provider tells them I've switched.  What happens if somebody stops having Broadband altogether?  Do they still have to pay EE nearly £60 a month for ever?

By phone and by visiting one of their shops. AS indicated above they now seem to have moved on from arguing about whether or not they were notified to saying they won't accept notification from their customer, only from another provider.

So it's not bogus bills at all. Switching provider & cancelling altogether are 2 separate processes. Of course you're billed until switched to new provider
