Billing errors

So I had issues paying my bill last year due to a death in my family which I had contacted EE multiple times in regards to this.

They agreed they would help with my billing by letting stopping my phone for a little time and then allowing me pay a little less each month until I was caught up.

However they kept disconnecting my phone even when I had made a payment.

In August the agreement was made again and once again I was disconnected after payment which stopped me contacting EE to solve the matter.

I was contacted by a member of the team named Greg on the 1st of September and said he would call on the 29th of September (after my due bill) to get something sorted. He called and we discussed a new plan and that was acknowledged.  I then made a payment on the 5th of October only to receive a letter from a debating agency. This obviously had me annoyed because I was once again cut off so could not arrange anything.

I contacted EE and said it was a billing error and to contact said debating agency which I did. My bill at the time was £900+ but even though my account was moved to them in October EE has continued to increase my balance every month and only discontinued my contract in January leaving my bill around £1500.

Anyone else had any issues like this because I think it's absolutely disgusting.

Since my agreement in September I have been cut off even after making the payment in October and when talking to an agent to be told to ignore my billing as it was a billing error is ridiculous.

I'm assuming it's a typo or reference to something else, but what's a debating agency?

Hi @Dancraig

I'm concerned to hear about your experience, I can only imagine how much stress it's caused you.

I want to make sure that you get some clarity on the situation, as it sounds like you've had mixed advice.

I'd recommend giving us a call, then a guide can take some details and get access to your account.

If you're unable to call from your mobile phone, you can pop into an EE store, or if you can use a friend or family member's phone, you can call from there.
