Hi guys,
my ee bill was meant to go out in a few days but I have paid early as i will be cashing out the funds remaining and using elsewhere and didn’t want to to miss or have to remand for payment.
is it possible this is able to do so as when my bill does go out, I will have my money cashed out.

If you have a DD in operation you shouldn't make a manual payment on or soon after your billing date. It is then too late to stop the DD being auto taken in full. Even if the DD fails the 1st time of asking it will be auto attempted again about 7 days later. Now the extra will be used as credit against your next bill. It won't show on your a/c until the next bill.

@Sanaa2 Once you receive a bill it automatically starts the DD payment process and nothing is going to stop that, to pay manually you need to do this before you receive the bill as this payment will sit on your EE account so it can be collected from your account once you receive the bill. What you have done is put a payment on your EE and this will be taken on your next billing date as it’s there now for collection.
Should you cancel the DD now it’ll still not take the payment from your account as the DD process has already begun.

Hi @Sanaa2,
Welcome to the Community!
If the Direct Debit is requested from your bank and the payment fails then you may be charged for a failed payment by your bank, so it might be worth checking this.

@Sanaa2 , if your bill has already been generated, then yes your direct debit will be taken, as you were too close to the date, so the payment will be used for the following month’s payment. It all depends when EE generated the payment, how close to your regular payment date you are, when making a manual payment.
