Been scammed by ee

Ordered a one month sim card off ee just over a month ago. It never arrived. Phoned up ee after a few weeks had passed and they admitted for some technical reason the SIM had not been sent and it would be arriving now in post. Two days later sim arrived. After nearly a week of use I was informed that the SIM was disabled due to not paying bill. Not only that I had chosen to pay for an unrestricted plan only to blatantly notice after the second day of use my connection was throttled to 10mb thereafter. The only reason I was trying ee was due to Vodafone being overwhelmed in my area with unusual amount of tourist activity leaving the signal weak.

Now 1 month on from my completely regrettable decision to try EE be miss sold a ultra fast connection . Get only one week of usage and be expected to pay for a month..

I now have debt collection agency thinking I owe them £87.

Needless to say I won't be entertaining such fraudulent claims by debt collection agencies on your behalf.

Such a horrid experience.

Hello @Jthro ,

Welcome to the community,

EE do not scam you. Have you checked what payments they want from you? Have you spoken to billing to find out?

This would have been my first port of call. Have you made phone calls and where? If foreign calls, then you would be charged, as they are not inclusive, same with picture messages, might be worth checking this out first.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
