Within 24 hours I have taken out a contract with EE and cancelled it. Where do we start?
I had agreed to a sim only deal with student discount. Supposed to be £21.60 a month. First bill comes through and it’s £86. Over 4 times what it should be. I start an online chat where I am told there is a premium line rental deposit of £50 added (that I never ageeed to). After speaking to an advisor this is removed. Then we move on to the fact they have failed to apply the discount ( I have to show emails and contact agreements where the discount is listed) for them to reduce the payment. This only applies next month as a credit so I’m still paying more this month.
after all this I am kind of back to the bill I expect. During this process I am amazed that they try and sell me products. Bearing in mind I am complaining about a bill that is 4 times what it should be, the advisor asks me who my broadband is with and if I have heard of EE rewards. They tried to sell a service during a complaint.
I don’t make complaints ever. But I am genuinely astounded at how bad EE are
to finish the experience I asked to add my Apple Watch to my account as advertised as part of the unlimited data deal I selected. I was told my eligibility for this would be reviewed after 3 months. This was not mentioned at all during the contract agreement.
overall, the person i spoke to was woefully under trained, the service I have recieved is genuinely horrendous and luckily I have been able to cancel my contract during the cooling off period.
i have genuinely never felt the need to make a public complaint but EE have been so horrendously bad it is needed

First bills are not generated within 24hours of connecting. A week perhaps, but not 24hours.
How exactly did you "agree to a student discount"? Was this online using a code, or face-to-face in a retail shop?
Some aspects of your story don't ring completely true.
