Hi I've only just started my upgrade anytime contract and was wondering if the "choose a plan of the same cost or higher" term still applies at the end of the contract or if that is only if I want to upgrade early
So what I'm really asking is, if I wait until the end of my contract can I then have the option to also pick a cheaper option?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Shannmj , just to add, if you wait until the end of your contract, then you have the option to pick a cheaper option, yes, but obviously you need to have had your plan for the minimum term, which is 24 months.

Hi @Shannmj
Eligible customers must upgrade, in a participating EE retail store or by contacting customer services,to an eligible Pay Monthly plan with a new 24 month minimum term. The data allowance must be atleast the same as or higher than the data allowance on your current plan. You’ll need to return your current device (which you must have got from us originally or from us as part of a successful insurance claim) in full working condition (described below) and with no missing, damaged, or cracked parts (e.g.a stylus for touch screen phones should be included if the phone was originally supplied with one).
As per the above terms there is a fee for upgrading so early and the plan data needs to be the same or larger.
Thanks
