So in about 30 days my contract (SIM only) comes to an end. I've had a pretty good deal with EE and overall I've been satisfied with the service (despite bad experience with roaming on a recent trip). When I look at new deals though, the prices are much higher and even the sales person couldn't match what I've been paying, so I've decided to leave EE. But when I was reading this article https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/leaving-ee/end-of-my-plan , under "What happens at the end of my commitment period?" it says "If you do nothing you’ll move on to a 30-day rolling plan and pay the same as you’re paying now." What does that mean? It sounds like I would just keep paying the same??
Also, what does it mean to give 30 day notice? Is it requesting PAC?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@pwalk Your contract term ends in about 30 days not the line connection. At the end of the contract term your contract will change to a 30 day rolling contract at the same price. You don’t have to do anything just leave it as it is if your happy with it
to terminate a contract you give 30 days notice as your billed every 30 days. Using a PAC will also terminate a contract as that is moving your number to a different network.
To request a PAC just text PAC to 65075, you have 30 days to use the PAC or nothing will happen and you’ll need to request again, just requesting a PAC doesn’t terminate a contract you need to use that PAC to migrate your number to a different network for that to happen.

Yes, at the end of the min. term if you do nowt your contract will just carry on as is at the same price. If you want to cancel it you need to give 30-days notice to cancel it completely or if you want to transfer your no. to another network you do so using a PAC. If you use a PAC no notice is required.

Thanks @XRaySpeX and @Chris_B . To clarify, does it mean that I keep all the discounts and add-ons as well, or does "same price" mean it reverts to a "standard" price for that deal? If it means it would just carry on as it is then I have no reason to switch. I just don't want any costly surprises at the end of it.

Depends on the type of discount, some are term-limited and others will roll on outside the minimum term.
Worth checking what kind of discount you have on there to better inform the decision.
It would depend on what was agreed on the contract on day one. Customer services would likely be able to see any expiry dates for discounts.

Is there a way to find out without calling them? I don't see any info in my plan details (except that I have discounts). For some reason I don't have a chat option in the app.

@pwalk Any discounts counts will show under add ons within your account. If it’s a loyalty discount it’s possible it might be removed at the minimum term it just depends on what was selected for you when you got this add on by the agent at the time. Only customer support can provide this info.
