problems connecting my PC running windows vista home premium to the internet

When I was with BT broadband I used a Tenda dongle to connect my PC to the internet. Worked great! With EE now and it wont connect. I bought a new TP-link dongle, still won't connect. My PC doesnt even find any WiFi networks. My PC's operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. I would most appreciate any help with this matter as it is driving me crazy! Many thanks.

@lizwijeratne Which EE router do you have and do any other devices, ie mobile find the EE wireless wi-fi signal? And you do know that the OS from Microsoft is now well out of support etc.

@lizwijeratne : What is the dongle for? It could either be a WiFi adapter or a mobile router. If the latter please confirm you have an EE SIM in the TP-Link. Which model is it?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Do you not have an RG45 connection on the motherboard, this would be much easier than using a Wi-Fi dongle

Also if I was you I would upgrade the operating system to Windows 10/11 as there is no support for windows Vista anymore, that's a bit antiquated now 🙄
