new broadband connection

Hi,

Joined EE. I have Airband internet at the moment but will change over to EE in a few days.

The EE router has been delivered.

The Airband connection comes in through the outside wall into an Airband box.

I don't have a landline, but there is a box in my back room where the old BT landline used to come from.

Just want to know where I plug the new EE router into? The Airband box that comes through the wall OR the box the old landline used to be from?

I'm asking in advance as I don't want to be without internet.

Thanks

No, not a pix of the EE router but of the Airband box.

If it's just Fibre 67 it'll come thro' the BT phone socket.

Please post a pix of the label on the base of that EE router.

Depends on what EE BB plan you've ordered. What is the name of the EE BB plan including its speed?

Let's see a pix of this Airband box.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

I don't have a camera so I can't take a pic of the Airband box but thanks, I'll just have to plug it in the BT socket box and keep my fingers crossed:-)

Just to confirm this ...

  1. What is the SH3?? model no. on base of EE router.
  2. What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

@redeye777 When was the last time that the BT socket was live, altnet's like airband are completely different, they should not have touched your BT connection but you just never know. Worth having a look at the BTW site for your address.

BT Broadband

If you post up, obscure all personal information.

It's SH30A

I don't have a BT phone number since joining Airband 2 years ago

Bt socket was live 2 years ago. Airband convinced me that landlines were being discontinued and that fibre was the way to go. Airband was the worst internet I've ever had... dropped connections throughout the day and the issue was never solved in 2 years.

@redeye777 The EE Smarthub+ SH30A that you have will plug into the BT/OR Master Socket that you have, so no idea what type that is in you current property, OR will no doubt have to reconnect the system as a lot can happen in a 2 year period, the links you where sent to check using address details please do that and post the details.... Will link the setup details from the help when i locate for you.
