help deciding on a router

Hello!

I am looking to replace my hub2 with another router and have been looking at a number of routers. I plan to turn the wifi completely off as i have wired cat6 to every device in the house. when I was looking at most routers on amazon it seems every increase in cost is mostly due to the increased wifi. Any advice is appreciated thank you

What router is a "hub2"? EE don't have a Hub 2.

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed?

@Jamesesling7 Pretty unique situation in that you have NO wireless unless using another device on that, so really looking at using any Router with NO wireless output, but without knowing how you intend or the connection method involved, impossible to recommend what you need to look at, will possibly be easier to get main brand router and just switch off the wireless and really defeats the purpose.

just have an ethernet  to a computer, games consoles, tv and phone access point. nothing major. have a EE package of 500/100 so something that can transfer that over cat6 cable. the EE router has the hotspot option even if I turn the WIFI off so I don't want that.   Thanks for your reply 🙂

@Jamesesling7 If you have a landline, and intend using it, then EE router will have to stay in situate. unless your phone access point is to another voip provider. You are not giving any detail that is helping. Take a look at something like below, see if how it fits but you will have a steep learning curve if you have little router experience. If looking at simple then stay with your EE plug and play, ethernet only and disable your wireless completely.
