Hi I am looking to switch to EE for my broadband but I need to know if their routers can be used as modem only as I wan to use apple timecapsule as the router.Any thoughts or experiences?

@Clockwise104 There is NO modem mode for the current range of EE routers!

The EE-provided router, SH+, does not have modem-only or bridging mode as such but you can disable WiFi on it & connect all your WiFi devices to your existing router.

But this means double NAT, which may or may not be a problem for you.

@Clockwise104 are you on Full Fibre or is your broadband still provided over your phone line (VDSL)?
If full fibre the ONT is the modem so no need to use the EE router.
If VDSL Draytec Vigor do xDSL modems or you could get a Plusnet Hub2 from a well known auction site for not much money.
Either way the Time Capsue would need to be setup to use PPOE Connect to the Internet using PPPoE in AirPort Utility on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

@Clockwise104 Do you require to have a landline phone with the change over to EE for your broadband?
