If you no longer want any BB at your location, you phone EE on the Freephone no. (Opt 1) in my sig. and give 30 days notice at any time after 30 days before the end of your min. term, i.e. after 13th Aug..

@Locomotion61 If you are not going to go anywhere else for you broadband then EE is 30 day's at the end off your 24 months period if that is what you signed up for, going elsewhere then just OTS in your last 30 day's before the end off it all and DO NOT contact EE unless going Altnet that is not OTS enabled....

What you need to know if you want to leave EE

We’re making it easier than ever to switch your broadband provider

Thanks for the reply, I want to change providers

Thanks for the reply, I want to change service providers. what is OTS? So I give 30 days notice prior to my contract end date?

OTS = One Touch Switch, the process OFCOM have in place for switching BB between ISPs whereby you only contact the gaining ISP you want to move to. You should start this a week or 2 before your min. term ends.

@Locomotion61  As @XRaySpeX has already answered for you, the links supplied give the explanation also all about the OTS process, so you do not contact EE at all, just your new ISP that you are signing up for, if they are a OTS member it's all taken care off by the new ISP, EE will confirm by either a text / e-mail to you that you are leaving them so you know that the new ISP has done what is required.... The OTS varies by different ISP's and it's all about the assigned resources but the general is anything from about 7 - 21 days for it all to happen, choice is all yours, so hit it at least 21 day's before to be sure, if it's quicker then it's all in your favour switch wise.

But at the risk of being switched before your current contract expires & so being liable for exit fees.

@XRaySpeX Minimal in the last 30 day's and more than likely covered by the 1 Month up front payment so more or less not as big a refund. Depending on how EE play's it all also.

@JimM11 : There's no 30 day's notice required when switching after min. term.  Despite that what I said still holds even if it is offset against the last month's payment being in advance. So really a pointless reposte!
