Xbox Series S keeps dropping from Ethernet on 2022 EE Smart Router (NAS too)

Hi,

I've recently took delivery of the 2022 white EE Smart Router (one with a little circle in the middle and 4 ethernet ports on the back), firmware version from 2022. Previously, had a much older EE router in black from around 2017.

All four ports on the old router where occupied, the Xbox, in port 1.

Within the port forwarding config there are no entries for the old router.

Today, I've set up the new router, and plugged in all devices to the same port numbers as before, when looking within the port forwarding area of the hub, this time it's auto generated a greyed out row for the Xbox for ports 3074, which does appear to be something that might need to happen according to Microsoft

However, after restarting the Xbox, unplugging/replugging in the Ethernet the network will come up, and then every few seconds disconnect and then re-connect.

Whilst the network is up, the NAT type shows as Open, I'm observing the downtime by looking in the Xbox network settings and also in the EE's wifi network map, which for Port 1 changes from 1 to 0 and then back to 1.

I've tried manually adding all of the other port numbers as per Microsoft's recommendations, also tried clearing the MAC address cache, additionally tried changing from port 3074 to the next one in the list. Also tried a different port

None of these creates a reliable internet connection on the Xbox.

Additionally, on the previous hub from 2017, Port 4 which is labelled in red on the router as WAN, is where my Synology NAS was plugged in, which worked fine.

That same port on the new router from 2022 today shows as WAN in the wifi map in the router rather than a port, and it won't let me click it, looks like it doesn't operate as an actual ethernet port but rather as WAN exclusivity?

What am I missing to create reliable ethernet for the Xbox here!

@bluedog916 Is this above the setting on the EE Router, was asking if it was possible to set a fixed IP on the x-box?
