Hi Folks
I've got a strange problem with my extender. After Having to shut down our power for an electrician, my extender won't reattach to the Router. The strange thing is, after multiple attempts, including using a wired connection between the extender and the router as is often suggested, the extender has now booted up and show an aqua blue light, suggesting that it's connected. However it's not actually coming up on the network and none of my devices are attaching to it.
Sadly we are now having worse broadband than before we moved over to our new deal, with new router and extender so it's very frustrating.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is the extender likely to be faulty? It took MANY MANY restarts to get it to finally show the aqua blue light, but still isn't working.
Cheers
Graham

Yes as i thought its fully automated with EE Equipment all i can say is the App lies when it comes to extenders , just checked my network in browser & i have both extenders online & on one of them is my phone & a Tv but according to the app both my extenders are offline , its strange the Op cant get devices to connect to them wish i could come up with a reason but i cant , only option might be is the "Nuclear" option , its a bit extreme but maybe factory reset Everything & start a fresh adding one item at a time to the network ? but id have to say this probably wont help , on another note the best most reliable way i have found to add extenders is by going to the add extenders section in browser router page , turn on an an extender , wait for it to flash yellow , press wps button & then press "add" in browser , it connects every time doing this as opposed to pressing wps on both or using the cable , also adding just one at a time i find reliable as well.

@Profile closed If it had not been for two off the EE Hubs in the throws off more FW updates and who knows what, just not going to dip my toes in that currently, as always the Forum see's the worst when sugar happens, know what i mean.
Cannot fathom it all myself, but have never had/used EE Smart Wireless extenders, always had my own Asus unit's.
I added a BT Complete wireless wifi in less than 5 minutes and NO access to the BT hub at all.

I'm fairly new to EE myself i have had the Hub plus & extenders & now the Pro & extenders , prior to this i was with a provider with a Nokia hub that you could not log into or do any user settings , completely locked down , it was a nightmare so returning to equipment that i can actually manage myself is a welcome treat after 3 years of a hub i was locked out of. , prior to this i was as yourself always used my own router gear but with that provider you HAD to use that hub of theirs as a modem & the only option you had was to ask them to shove it in bridged mode & use your own router , but i just struggled on with moderate NATs & no ability to port forward lol , but from what i have seen as far as a Provided hub \ Equipment goes its very good i have had no issue at all only problem i had was watching "multicast" streams but thats m ore an issue of lost packets through wifi than anything else , easily solved with some cat 6 ethernet.
