Wifi extender woes.

Installed all my shiny new EE router and extenders the weekend and it wasn't much fun.

Connection issues with most smart plugs that I eventually managed to sort out and my beloved dreame Bot finally got connected. However, the Extenders are as far as I can tell absolute rubbish.

They refuse to connect for more than a few mins and that was as close as between 5-10 feet. I was very patient, about 4 hours patient until I finally gave up.

I've now put my BT router back and my BT black WIFI discs and everything is perfect again. What an experience !

I intend to retry the new EE equipment in about 6 months, hopefully there will have been firmware updates by then that fix all of this. I'm amazed that after all this time it's still such poor equipment.

Hows your experience been ?

@Maggieknockater Just noticed you also had the following, if it did work with your previous equipment that you had and doing so wireless connected, your new is probably not going to get there.

""TV on my iPad around 80ft away in my summerhouse at the bottom of my garden. I shall be seriously unhappy if this doesn’t get fixed as we go into summer.""

I shall try it - thank you 👍

I had been  a BT customer for years - I am really regretting moving across- I get coverage at the front of our bungalow- the router is in the front bedroom - The extender is in the middle of the property and my office/seating area is literally 5/6 feet from that around the corner in another room.. The signal is crap .. I thing the EE Broadband is dire ..

@Mikerou1 Depending on what you had from BT and if it is all suitable for using, then and if you still have it you could connect it all back up and it will all work as before!

Unfortunately I sent it all back and the Hybrid  Freeview that i didnt ask for that they sent me .. ( as my TV has it built in already).. If I had known now what I do now I would never have switched over.. The problem is that once you have switched from BT to EE they advised e that you cannot switch back and they are going to move everyone off BT sooner rather than later..

@Mikerou1 Do you know if the Extender is actually working? Link below to the current unit's, select devices and you can go to all the Broadband devices that are available in the help.
