Hi Guys
Still having a few issues with dropping of internet upstairs intermittently. Spoke to EE today and they have arranged an engineer to attend.
I have been looking at possible options of WiFi enhancer with EE but unsure of this will help and what it actually does. Also thinking about EE WiFi booster although i don't really want to pay £240 over the 24 months for the privilege of this.
So when it drops out I re set the router and everything fires back up as normal then might go ok for a few days then drop again anyone had this problem ?
Can anyone recommend any WiFi boosters that you've used through a third party and if it solved your issue
Thanks

@Welshy89 Do you only have a mobile, or perhaps a laptop with ethernet that you can plug into the TP-Link. The only other thing that i can think of is connect the tp-link with its ethernet cable to the router and then run the tether app, and see how it goes. When you get to the first password just type admin

Just tried that now as you recommend still not having any of it so it's going back will try another one can you confirm it would have to be WiFi 6 to be compatible with the smart hub
And speed wise what would you recommend with my fftp 500 Mbps speed

@Welshy89 Your router the EE Smarthub+ is wi-fi 6 compatible so that is why that RE model, also the Asus i said is also wi-fi6, same as the EE Smart Wi-Fi modules, did you ever enquire if you could just buy one of those or was it by the £10 subscription only. I just posted to try admin in the first password field as you sent your reply. The wavelink i have never used so do not know, Your fttp at 500mb/s is the max fibre speed, a lot depends on where your router is located with regards to speed of a mobile signal. There is absolutely no guarantee with wireless wi-fi speed's only Ethernet cable will get you up to that speed.
And it does not have to be wi-fi6 compatible, you can use wi-fi5 also.
On the tp-link label does it say V1 or V2 anywhere on it. That is the version of the hardware....

I spoke to EE you can not buy their booster it is by a subscription only £10 per month and locks you in to a 24 month contract and will not run along your current broadband package so for example if you have 12 months left on you broadband package and decide you want the boosters you can only have the 24 months hub subscription plan so therefore you will be paying 12 months for EE booster hub and you may not even stay with EE after your broadband package expires

@Welshy89 Thanks for that reply, it has been uncertain with regards to that fact if an outright purchase was available that is why many would then opt for getting there own booster. If you wish to try the option for admin as the password, and also if you can look at the label for V1 or V2. Know this is getting to be a pain for you now. I changed some values on the EE router before i started they could also cause an issue, but as the other OP posted, they connected with zero issues using the app, so i discarded that but maybe should not have.

I am now looking for a different model maybe Wavlink and see how that goes.
Hopefully will connect with ease via wps.
I don't agree with EE roping you in to a contract for 24 months and I think it should run for the same amount of time left on your contract after all it is renting the equipment only so I'm not sure why they force the 24 months but there we are who knows their thought process
