Been with EE for a while now, and they're generally priced the same as everyone else in my area so I went with them as I've heard good things.
The WiFi is slow when it works, and drops out often. I just had two drop outs in the space of 15 mins. This is also my 2nd router, they sent me the 2nd one after the 1st one packed in (within six months of having it... yeah).
My postcode is PO12 (Gosport, UK) - not sure if it's my area or the service in general but, all the support team does is tell you to switch it off and on again...failing that it's "sorry - it's probably broken, we'll send you another one". Like, nah, 'this' is the 'great EE' ? ...
Are there any plans for EE to lay down fibre in this area? The tech being used feels SO outdated and if EE isn't interested in introducing a better service (especially for the amount they charge for such a slow speed) then I'll be considering placing an order with someone else as it's not improving and I feel ripped off at this point.

@tdmit07 Once Open reach install fibre in your area you’ll be able to have it. EE don’t install anything it’s all over the open reach network.
I don’t have full fibre and I’m going to guess I’ve got the same as you. Except I don’t have any issue with dropouts and still using the same smart hub plus I got over a year ago now.
It’s is WiFi dropouts ? Or is the hub losing network connection ? What colour is the LED when this happens?
Do you have more issues when it’s been or is raining?
A router can fail at any time by the way even if you purchase your own router. The only difference is EE will provide a new one at no charge and one you purchase will have a limited time warranty.

What lights show on the router?
BB issues are rarely widespread but specific to your own line.
If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area.
Have you reported your problem with your BB to EE? They can't do anything about it until you do. Text HELP to 66033 to get EE to test the line & see what needs doing.
What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)?
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

Heya, yeah I lose the teal light and get blinking orange. Then a constant orange to say the re-connect attempt failed. Usually kicks back in on the second attempt. It’s quite often and just infuriating in this day and age since most of everything requires a stable internet connection.
I havent noticed any change in behaviour regarding the weather - it’s pretty crud rain or shine.
i guess everyone in my neighbourhood is just waiting on open reach, I’ve been waiting for toob for years now, seems like my neighbourhood has just been forgotten and we’re stuck with old copper wiring 🤷♂️

That’s the table thing from the BT checker.
The light is teal when connected but often flashes orange and looses BB connection.
They’re currently charging me £41.30 a month for 55Mbps 😑
I guess I’m just stuck in a neighbourhood that open reach doesn’t maintain or upgrade and EE don’t have the means to provide a better service until open reach do literally anything 😅

Full Fibre (WBC FTTP) is already available there.
