I upgraded to the new Wifi 7 hub from the Wifi 6 hub even though i'm only on the 1gb/s package ( Full Works and Unbreakable Wifi )
after sorting all the connection info out on the Wifi 7 Hub and connecting all my devices, everything was running smooth and my speeds all over the house increased from 4-500 MB/s to 900MB/s and max speeds.
I then noticed that after a while Extenders ( 3 of them ) will just randomly disconnect and then after around 1 min or so will automatically reconnect. This happens with the so called Unbreakable Hub ( Unbreakable Wifi ) and my Amazon Firestick.
I even looked for updating the firmware for the Wifi 7 hub but it said it will automatically do this, I even checked the EE app to see if there's a firmware update option on there but couldn't find one.

@Azorees Below is at least the latest FW version reported.
FW: r2.64.7-R-1303938-PROD-1 and the gui is at App version 2.34.2. 07/02/2025

Thanks for your reply
according to my Hub the FW Version is r2.64.7-R-1303938-PROD-1 so i guess i have the latest version.
I will just have to wait to see if it cools down and stays connected, as its a brand new installation it could be going through some sort of updates Firmwares ect.
If it continues i will get in touch with EE as it could be a faulty hub or a setting i have missed.

@Azorees It seems that the smart wireless extenders although get updated to the latest FW have a little issue with connection status and general stability, the general fix seems to be do a factory reset on the Pro router itself, extenders do the same and once all done, reconnect the extenders and then it all start's to play nice. The choice is yours with whatever way you wish to go.

How are you getting on? I’m on second router with the same issues. Goes unstable and throws all my smart home devices out of whack. Driving me bonkers.

Having same issue. Did you figure out a fix?

@Shelleyrobbie There is nothing much to figure out, make sure your pro Router is up to date with all it's FW patches, the smart wireless extenders are matching, and keep both of the devices in the best position once they have meshed, learned each other through time. There is NOTHING you can do to manage the process as the tools are not available to do so!

@Shelleyrobbie : You can't really make sure your Router is up-to-date with all its f/ware patches. EE will poke them at it in its own time. All you can do is keep it running & hope it keeps up.

Yep - exactly the same problem here.
Due to thick walls and distance I have x1 Extender hardwire connected using rj45 socket and external cat5e cable. Extender worked perfectly for 5 days, then dropped out. Reset router and extender fixed it, but then it dropped again after only 1 day...
Even more annoying is the extender light stays solid teal, so I don't know when it has dropped.
I got a replacement router and extender - it changed nothing - so I'm presuming it is woeful garbage quality hardware and software from EE that just isn't up to the job.
EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING: is that EE only guarantees 100mpbs to the router... so they can get away with it - disgraceful.
Anyone got any tips on replacement Third Party hardware?

@ChrisJackson321 As you have the EE Pro version off both, the Interconnect cable between the EE Hub and the EE Smart wireless Extender operate in the 2.5Gb/s Ethernet speed, you should be looking at the Ethernet Cable as a possible area off concern rather than anything else to start with.
With the cable dropped out, the devices will try to fall back to wireless wifi backhaul mode, fact it is not working and staying Aqua is also something to look at, the web manager and advanced wireless extenders may give you more information if you look at it that way! http://192.168.1.254 to get there.
