Wi-Fi 7 booster

Hi, new to EE WiFi 7.  The main hub is set up next to the PC at the rear of my house and seems to work fine.  We have always had wi-fi issues - poor reception in the front of the house - only two rooms away in a 70's brick/block house.  The new Wifi 7 booster in the front of the house appears to keep dropping off - it goes from Aqua to orange.

Question - i have a hard wired mini router in the front room - feeding to the TV etc.  There is a spare slot.  Could i plug the wifi 7  booster  into the spare slot in the front room and would it then give a strong wifi?

I was going to do it when i had BT wifi but was told i needed to change all the settings - which i was reluctant to do.

What exactly is a mini router? Is it a Ethernet switch?
