Why no Parental controls on home broadband.

Why is there still no parental controls on my home broadband hub. Says log into app but hey are not there. I have young kids on the internet and need  want to block adult websites. Surely you are failing customers and putting children at risk if we can’t do this. Changed from BT where we could easily apply controls but with EE we can’t.

Came online to look for a solution. I’ve used app to set parental controls but they dont seem to work on adult content. Can restrict social media but no effect on pornographic sites!

JimM11,

BT Home Hub 2.

I’ve tried Paring the EE App.

It finds the Network but the spinning loading circle thing is like watching paint dry.

Life was already too short.

EE has just made it even more unpleasant.

I can’t even pare the EE App with my BT Hub 2.

If I see another spinning circle of not loading EE pointlessness I will eat my iPhone.

Apparently as I have the old legacy hub from last year it has no parental controls. They won’t supply the new one to me until my contract need renewing.

I think they should be sending to all parents who have this issue to offer good protection.

@Hudson80 As it was not available when you changed over, and previous on the post you should call EE CS and see if the Norton Security is still FREE to you but you are nearly 1 year into your contract, and EE are just now starting to sort out moves from the Legacy to the New EE but may not be fully functional change over yet, there is a post of one of the senior forum members testing etc. Protection is also just not the responsibility of the ISP, there are many other options also, and as you will see there are problems with implementing so it's like trying to hit a moving target.
