Why no Parental controls on home broadband.

Why is there still no parental controls on my home broadband hub. Says log into app but hey are not there. I have young kids on the internet and need  want to block adult websites. Surely you are failing customers and putting children at risk if we can’t do this. Changed from BT where we could easily apply controls but with EE we can’t.

Which EE BB plan are you on? What EE router do you have?

That msg is inviting you to switch to "newer BB plan". That would imply you are on legacy BB. If so, there are no parental controls on legacy BB, either thro' the router or thro' the app. I believe there is still an offer to get Norton Internet Security free for a year or 2.

I wasn't asking you to switch. I was asking you what you are on at the mo'. If you were to answer my 2 Qs we might be able to pin this down.

Which EE BB plan are you on? Full fibre Max 500 without landline (Sept 23)

What EE router do you have? Smart router - I will have to check when I get home the serial.

I think you may be on a legacy plan. We would need to confirm exactly the model of the router you have to be sure. If it is called Smart Router it's certainly legacy.

@Hudson80    Post a picture of the actual router.

If it  doesn’t look like this you don’t have parental controls via the EE app as the EE app is for this router only.

@Hudson80  if your router looks like this.   You need to use the EE home app.  But this doesn’t have parental controls within it.

Yes, that's an EE Smart Router. You do have legacy EE BB & there are no parental controls with it, either thro' the router or thro' the app. I believe there is still an offer to get free Norton Internet Security for a year.
